Notice of this Bill was given on 12th October, 2011.
The Bill was read a first time on 19th October, 2011.

On the 19th October, 2011 Senator the Hon. Miss M.P.O. McClean spoke and moved that the Bill be read a second time.

(1) the national bi-partisan approach of members to work with communities to prevent HIV; and
(2) the 2011 United Nations Political Declaration adopted at the UN High Level Meeting held in New York from June 8 - 10, 2011.

To ask the Leader of the Senate:
1. Can the Minister state whether a negotiating team for Barbados has
been constituted in order to interface with authorities of the Republic
of Trinidad and Tobago on the matter of reaching a fishing agreement
between the two countries?
(a) If the answer is yes, will the Minister provide the names of the
members of that team?
(b) Further, will the Minister state the number of engagements, if
any, the team has had with their Trinidad and Tobago
counterparts since being constituted?
2. Will the Minister state what plans, if any, the government has to advance
the process of reaching a fishing agreement with the Republic of Trinidad
and Tobago.

cost of living in Barbados?

3. Will the Minister state whether her government has commissioned a
comprehensive review of the extent and impact of price movement on
basic foods and other items in this country since January 2010?
(a) If such a study has been commissioned will the Minister state
the findings of this study?
