Terms of Reference are as follows:
To inquire into and determine whether the Act as drafted effectively
fulfils its comprehensive and multi-disciplinary approach to prevention
and combating corruption and preventing damage to our democratic
institutions, the management of our public affairs, our national economy
and rule of law.
To examine whether the Act as drafted and current legislation will upon
effective implementation contribute to increased political stability and
our sustainable development, ultimately eradicating organised crime from
our economic landscape.
To examine and analyse whether the provisions of the Act relating to
financial disclosure are likely to deter citizens from serving in public life.
To make recommended changes if deemed necessary to the Bill as
drafted for further consideration by the Chief Parliamentary Counsel.

McClean: To move the passing of a Resolution to approve the guarantee by the Government of Barbados of the principal and interest necessary for the repayment of thirty-five million Barbados dollars (BDS$ 35,000,000) and interest thereon to be raised by the Transport Board through the issue and sale of fixed rate bonds arranged by the Barbados National Bank and Finance Trust Corporation now known as Republic Finance and Trust (Barbados) Corporation on the terms and conditions set out in the Schedule to the Resolution for the purpose of the repayment of a short-term bridging facility advanced by the Barbados National Bank Inc. now known as Republic Bank (Barbados) Ltd. to the Transport Board.

McClean: To move the passing of a Resolution to approve the guarantee by the Government of Barbados of a loan in the sum of ten million, nine hundred thousand Barbados dollars (BDS$ 10,900,000) and interest thereon to be borrowed by the Transport Board from the Barbados National Bank Inc. now known as Republic Bank (Barbados) Ltd. on the terms and conditions set out in the Schedule to the Resolution for the purposes of financing an operating short-fall, paying creditors and purchasing capital equipment.

1. Can the Minister state whether a negotiating team for Barbados has
been constituted in order to interface with authorities of the Republic
of Trinidad and Tobago on the matter of reaching a fishing agreement
between the two countries?
(a) If the answer is yes, will the Minister provide the names of the
members of that team?
(b) Further, will the Minister state the number of engagements, if
any, the team has had with their Trinidad and Tobago
counterparts since being constituted?
2. Will the Minister state what plans, if any, the government has to advance
the process of reaching a fishing agreement with the Republic of Trinidad
and Tobago.

cost of living in Barbados?
If the Minister is aware will the Minister state what plans, if any, her
government has of addressing this concern?
2. Will the Minister please state what plans, if any, her government has to
expand the basket of goods not subject to VAT and other impositions?
3. Will the Minister state whether her government has commissioned a
comprehensive review of the extent and impact of price movement on
basic foods and other items in this country since January 2010?
(a) If such a study has been commissioned will the Minister state
the findings of this study?
