McClean: To move the passing of a Resolution to approve in accordance with Section 5 of the Land Acquisition Act, Cap. 228, the compulsory acquisition by the Crown of parcels of land situate at Sam Lord’s Castle, Long Bay in the parish of Saint Philip in this Island, together with the buildings thereon, for the public purposes of housing and tourism development and beach access.

Senator K. H. L. Marshall: To move the passing of a Resolution calling
on Government:
(1) To declare its support for the concept of Reverse Mortgages and,
(2) To urgently review the draft legislation on Reverse Mortgages
submitted to it by the Barbados Association of Retired Persons
(BARP) assuring its passage into law by the end of 2014, thereby
providing a mechanism to enhance the quality of life of the
country’s Senior Citizens.
