McClean: To move the passing of a Resolution to approve in accordance with Section 5 of the Land Acquisition Act, Cap 228, the compulsory acquisition by the Crown of parcels of land situate at Sturges and Welchman Hall in the parish of St Thomas in the Island, for the public purposes namely the facilitation of the Harrison’s Cave Re-Development Project and for public access to the cave.
Notice of this Resolution was given on 25th October, 2014.

Senator K. H. L. Marshall: To move the passing of a Resolution calling
on Government:
(1) To declare its support for the concept of Reverse Mortgages and,
(2) To urgently review the draft legislation on Reverse Mortgages
submitted to it by the Barbados Association of Retired Persons
(BARP) assuring its passage into law by the end of 2014, thereby
providing a mechanism to enhance the quality of life of the
country’s Senior Citizens.
