PUBLIC BUSINESS

Senator the Hon. Miss M. P. O. Mc Clean: To move the passing of a Resolution to approve the guarantee by the government of the repayment of the principal sum and interest thereon by the Barbados Tourism Authority of a loan of $10,500,000 in the currency of the United States America from the Bank of Nova Scotia for the provision of passenger transport services by Carnival Cruise Lines.

Notice of this Resolution was given on 28^th April, 2010.

Senator the Hon. Miss M. P. O. Mc Clean: To move the passing of a Resolution to approve:

(a)   the borrowing under the External Loans Act, Cap 94 D by the Government of sums of up to $200 million in the currency of the United States of America on the international capital market by the issue of securities through Deutsche Bank Security Inc. as lead Manager and Underwriter for the purpose of financing the repayment of debt and to assit in supporting the balance of  payment; and 

(b)   the establishment of a sinking fund for the redemption of each issue of securities made under the said Act and for the moneys necessary to maintain and service that fund.
